Tell Provost Yazedijian to “Lock it Up!”

ISU Faculty have been bargaining for their first contract since February. But while our UFISU team has presented its financial proposals twice, the ISU administration team refuses to present theirs until both teams have reached tentative agreement on ALL non-economic issues. This puts stress on overworked and underpaid ISU faculty as they prepare for the Fall semester. We call on Provost Yazedijian to direct the admin team to present their financial proposals by Aug 7.

We also call upon the Provost and President Tarhule to commit to retrofitting all classroom doors to lock from the inside. In an era when violence can strike any school at any time, it is unthinkable that ISU faculty and students lack the simple ability to bar an armed intruder from entering a classroom. Our UFISU team has proposed [insert proposal here]. The admin’s team has refused to consider this common-sense measure. They say the cost is too high and give us patronizing advice that locks only encourage “a false sense of security” and tell us that we can protect ourselves better with belts and computer cables jammed into a door closer.

Tell Provost Yazedijian to “lock that ish up!” Call or email TODAY!
